The
DIABLOS have toured recently with George Clinton
and Parliament/Funkadelic, as well as opening shows
for Ben Harper, Tom Petty, Hank Williams Jr., GreyBoy
All-Stars, and countless other blues and rock greats.
Completely unfazed by current music trends, The Diablos
recorded the old-school blues classic, "WINE
SPO DEE O DEE", with a guest appearance by
Kid Rock, for the Ahmet Ertegen produced tribute record,
"Good Rockin' Tonite", which included tracks by
Paul McCartney, Sheryl Crow, Matchbox 20, Bob Dylan and
others. This CD spawned the American Masters PBS
TV Special, "Sun Records Tribute"
which also included the Diablos and some of their favorite
music legends. Vocalist Tino co-wrote two songs and guest
rapped with Kid Rock on his indie release,
"EARLY MORNING STONED PIMP",
which appeared on Atlantic album, "HISTORY
OF ROCK". Tino wrote "ACES &
EIGHTS" for Uncle Kracker's debut platinum
album "DOUBLE WIDE", as well
as Uncle Kracker's latest single, "Memphis
Soul Song", released in 2003 from "NO
STRANGER TO SHAME", also on Atlantic. Tino
recently produced "Darker Blues",
a re-mix CD for RL BURNSIDE, released in 2003 on the Mississippi-based
Fat Possum/Epitaph label.
